is this bike frame strong enough?
i took a 1999 schwinn cruiser six and turned it into a clunker (pioneer mtb) and i want to know if the frame is strong enough to withstand some intermediate off roading.
its the typical schwinn thick walled thin, tubed high tensile steel with a modern TIG weld.
also, it currently has an RST 1 1/8" thread-less suspension fork, a 10 speed drive train from a '74 schwinn varsity with a suntour cyclone rear derailleur, ukai 26X2.125 rims, and suntour XC high flange hubs
"thick wall thin" means that walls of the frame tubes are thick, but the tube itself is small (around 1")
