Stop BSOD – Dealing With The Dreaded Blue Screen Of Death
If this isn’t your first time to use Windows, you have probably encountered the eye-catching blue screen that disturbs your peace from time to time. That, my friend, is the Blue Screen of Death or BSOD. When this screen shows itself, there are only 2 things you can do – determine what is causing it or restart your computer and cross your fingers that this would stop BSOD.
The Different Parts of the BSOD
For you to prevent BSOD from visiting you, you first have to know where it is coming from. There are ways, although not all of these are very easy. The first thing you will want to do is to know the Anatomy of BSOD.
BSOD has four parts. The first part shows the actual nature of the error or the error message. This is identified by the underscores that replace the spaces after each word. It looks something like NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE which pertains to a generic hardware error. This area of the blue screen tells you the actual cause that triggered the screen to appear. The articles and the websites that contain information on the errors commonly encountered with Blue Screen of Death can help you a great deal in identifying the nature of the problem.
The next part gives reference to generic solutions that can help you fix the problem. This is written in text-based format and is understandable even at first glance. While generally useful, this does not really provide accurate solutions and pinpoint the location of the problem. The rest contains technical details in hexadecimal form, which may be helpful with preventing BSOD from cropping up given that you understand the code.
BSOD can be fixed temporarily by rebooting the computer. This, however, does not solve the problem permanently. If you don’t want to come face to face with BSOD again, you will have to really fix it.
If you are planning to fix it by yourself, you will have to fully decode the message the first section of the screen provides. The one whose words are divided by underscores not spaces. As previously said, this tells you a great deal about the problem.
If the error it points out roots from not installing the hardware, software or device driver properly, you should try fixing the installation. You will have to remove the product and reinstall it back. This will help prevent Blue Screen of Death from popping up. If this isn’t your problem, you will have to do more detective work. Check the bottom section of your monitor and start working from there. Look for appropriate solutions and use them to fix your computer.
Contrary to popular belief, BSOD does not pop up intermittently. There are plenty of reasons why you receive this error message. If you can find out the roots of the problem, you will be able to stop BSOD, maybe permanently. Be assured, however, that this will not stop from appearing as long as there is something wrong with your computer.

Unusual Cafe: Burnt Barn Ruin (lifecruiser)
One of the most unusual cafe's we have been to, is at our summer paradise
island Gotland: Lauters Cafe, which is located in an old burnt down barn ruin.
Yes, the barn burned down, but they were creative and fixed it rather cool
anyway. This is just a small part of the barn and the cafe [...]
